Book Update: I am almost finished with John Grisham’s “The Runaway Jury”. It reads like a movie! It probably was one… and the movie could possibly be better than the book. I like the book… but just a little far fetched for me. Coming from someone who watches “Marvel: Agents of Shield” and knows most of the lines in “Star Trek: The Next Generation”… this might seem a little odd.
For Christmas, we are getting ready with:
Good Eats Turkey!
Homemade Marshmallows
Hot Cocoa Bar
Ham
Steamed Carrots
Green Bean Casserole
Pies and Cookies (which is funny… because my favorite Christmas cookie isn’t on this website! Mexican Wedding Cookies made with pecans)
Salad: probably spinach, pomegranate and oranges
Craft:
This craft is super easy and a lot of fun – and it looks BEAUTIFUL! I used them for tags on cookie boxes one year. I loved how you could use them as an ornament or decoration. Older kids can do everything except the last step. Just some beads and a wire form!
I know it is Christmas soon, but this will keep the kids busy through that long winter break as well.
What You’ll Need:
– Snowflake Form (I used 3.75″ form here) from Amazon or Fusion Beads
-Beads: silver, crystal, or whatever colors you like! The largest bead I used was 1/4″
-pliers
-Optional: hook for Christmas ornaments
1. Thread the beads on each form. Once you have finished one line of beads, go to step 2. This will secure the beads before moving to the next section.
2. Use pliers to bend the wire over. This keeps the beads from falling off. This is the tricky part and it was easier to do with some strong pliers.
3. Repeat on each section and hang up!
