Bread Cinnamon Rolls

Pull Apart Cinnamon Sugar Bread – in the Bread Machine

This bread has been all over pinterest and back.  It involves the good and true way of kneading, punching, forming, warming, etc.  But I have a bread machine to do all that!  So, I figured why not and tried to throw the recipe in the bread machine to see what happened.   It worked!  I don’t have a photo of the entire baked loaf because while putting the children to bed, my husband took it to his “guy night”.

If you want pull apart bread and want to just throw ingredients into a bread maker, then here is how to make it!

Cinnamon Sugar Pull Apart Bread
yield 6-8 servings

1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbs. butter, melted
1/3 cup whole milk
1/4 cup water
2 large eggs, beaten and room temp.
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 and 3/4 cup + 2Tbs. AP flour
2 and 1/4 tsp. active dry yeast (1 envelope)

Filling:
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 Tbs. butter, melted

1.  Add ingredients to your bread machine for the bread per their instructions except add only 2 and 3/4 cup of flour.  Save the 2 Tbs. of flour for later.  .  I listed them in the way my Oster states:  wet, then pile up the flour, finally poke a hole in the middle of the flour and pour the yeast into the hole.  Run on “Dough” Cycle.

2.   While that goes, prep pan.  Grease a 9×5 loaf pan.

3.  Remove dough and work in the additional 2 Tbs. of AP flour.  The dough is very very sticky, but will be better after working in the flour.  Work the dough into a 12×20″ rectangle.  Brush with butter.  Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle.  Lightly press the sugar mixtures into the dough.

4.  Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into 6 strips and then cut the other way 6 strips.  So they you have 6 piles of 6 squares of dough.  Put the dough into the loaf pan vertically.  Let sit and rise 30-45 minutes.

5.   Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 30-35 minutes.  It should be really golden brown.  Some I saw online were nearly burned.  Don’t burn it, but do make sure the top is brown.

6.  Rest 20-30 minutes and eat!

    1. I should have had William take the camera with him Ha ha. I wonder if this would have worked just as well or even easier using the Cinnamon Roll recipe and then cutting it into pull apart bread instead of rolling it into cinnamon rolls. I mean, it is all the same stuff. The cinnamon roll dough yields more dough I think. Oh bummer, huh!?

  1. I think that all your recipes look great and I am having a hard time keeping up. I was late in finding your website but I love everything you make. I made the cornbread recipe the other day. I am going to try to make your morning glory muffins today (or tomorrow). This one looks amazing and I am going to stay strong and make the muffins first 🙂 Thanks for all the great recipes! Keep them coming but maybe a little slower so I can keep up 🙂 Okay, no one wants that so keep them coming.
